It
has been a long time in the making, around fifteen months
to be exact, but all the hard work has paid off and produced
one
of the most exciting and diverse albums I've made in years.
When work on the project started back in July of 2005 I had
one goal in mind: to make an album with no sonic limits.
I wanted to be able to freely create music without the Singer
/ Songwriter genre limiting the creative process. The result
of this open mindset are twelve uniquely different songs
all
brought together on one disc aptly titled Scattered..

More than a decade in the making, Music:
1996-2005 is the definitive Andy Loflin collection. Follow the music chronologically
starting
with the early track "More In Me" (appearing here for the
first time ever on CD) and ending with an unreleased track from 2005's
Hand Written Notes sessions titled "Nobody Sees Your Face." The
stops in-between include the best from Center of Gravity, Damascus
Road, and Remains of the Day. Nineteen songs pack this disc with
the best music written and performed by Andy Loflin during this decade
long span.

Hand
Written Notes was recorded between October 2004 and June 2005.
This short EP is a little like cleaning out the musical closet.
The track "Chicago" dates back to 1998 while "Temporary"
and
"The Meaning of Life" were written close to the end of
recording. Hand
Written Notes is a small collection of tracks from these
sessions that were recorded in Anderson, SC and later finished
in Charlotte,
NC.
